Months ago, no one could have predicted that Microsoft Flight Simulator would be one of the most impressive games on 2020- but these are strange times we live in. Flight Simulator’s massive open world is a stunning achievement for so many reasons- it’s probably the best looking open world we’ve ever seen, exploring it and seeing the sights and sounds of Earth is endlessly enjoyable, and Asobo Studio’s and Microsoft’s ingenious usage of cloud and Azure tech makes it such an authentic experience. Whether it’s for virtual tourism, or to marvel at the game’s visuals, or simply to sit back and relax while you fly across the globe, Flight Sim’s open world is one we’ll be going back to time and again for many years to come.
