Bioshock 2 DLC Due Next Month

Posted By | On 01st, Jul. 2010

2K has just announced that the first batch of single player DLC for Bioshock 2 is due next month, set to release on all three platforms on the 3rd of August.

The official product description explains: “‘Protector Trials’ challenges players to use the full arsenal of the BioShock 2 tool set as they dispatch their foes and unleash their wrath on enemies across six different areas from the single-player experience.”

From what I can understand, this is Bioshock’s take on the fast and frantic button pounding action that has come to be definied by titles such as Devil May Cry.

However, this is only just the beginning. More BioShock 2 DLC will arrive in the coming months, says 2K, and the next pack will “expand the narrative, and introduce new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed utopia under the sea.”

“Says 2K president Christopher Hartmann, “More single-player content is on the way that will deliver more of the intense action and story-driven gameplay that fans have been craving.”

Protector Trials will be available next month on PSN and XBLA. Be sure to download it.
