BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Announced by Arc System Works

Posted By | On 05th, Aug. 2012

The original insanity fighter returns. For those who’ve never heard of BlazBlue, it’s the spiritual successor to Guilty Gear. It goes by many other names: The game that gives strategy guide writers nightmares, crazy awesome fun times, pretty fireworks and more.

Now, Arc System Works, who are also developing Persona 4: Arena for Atlus, have recently announced at BlueFes 2012 that they’re working on a new game in the series, titled BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasm.

How and when we’ll see this new addition remains to be revealed. However a fan in attendance at the event revealed that there will be three new characters, and neutral poses for the series’ returning cast having been redrawn. We’ll also be seeing new costumes, moves and weapons on the old characters. Noel, for instance, apparently ditched his cap and uses a new weapon.

More details as they come, but it’s great to see some BlazBlue in this generation of Tekken and Dead or Alive.
