BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Opening Movie Shows Off Stunning 2D Gameplay, Art Design

Drool. That is all.

Arc System Works’ BlazBlue franchise has always been in the running for most beautiful 2D fighter series ever. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma only solidifies this stance, as the recently released opening movie for the game will show.

Set to hit arcades this Winter in Japan with three new characters, redesigns for the recurring cast, new stages and a brand new story, the gameplay looks simply phenomenal. The opening movie shows the action shifting from 2D to 3D at certain points and while that may just be an aesthetic, it still looks bad-ass. Check out the opening movie and fall in love all over again.
