Blizzard Has No Plans To Release Hearthstone On PS4, Switch And Xbox One

Sorry console players.

Blizzard has quite a few hits to their name, from Overwatch to Diablo to Starcraft II, but just as popular is the digital card battle game, Hearthstone. While Blizzard keeps that title which can be enjoyed on PC and mobile OS fresh with the new Year of the Raven season, unfortunately it seems that it won’t be a jumping off point to get the game on consoles.

Dualshockers recently spoke with Senior Producer Young Woo and Game Director Ben Brode to ask the question that continues to be on everybody’s mind, and both men responded with a typical “there is nothing to be announced for Nintendo Switch, PS4 or Xbox One”

It seems, at least for now, that reports that said the game may make its way to the Nintendo Switch have been greatly exaggerated. Blizzard of course isn’t completely unfamiliar with consoles, since Diablo III made the jump from PC intact and Overwatch continues to be very successful.

Guess we’ll keep dreaming.
