From Software’s Bloodborne has gone gold. The PS4 exclusive hack and slash RPG has finished principal development and has been sent for disc manufacturing and distribution ahead of its worldwide release. An event was held to celebrate the game going gold, as indicated on Twitter.

Bloodborne will be much in the vein of the studio’s Souls series but will emphasize attack over defense. It’s also set in a gothic, Victorian-esque town teeming with grotesque demons as opposed to fantasy creatures and dragons. Thus far, we know that Bloodborne will have a New Game Plus mode and over 40 hours of gameplay in the story mode alone. That’s not bad when one considers that there’s still multiplayer and the randomly generated Chalice Dungeons to explore.

Bloodborne will be out on March 24th in North America and March 27th in the UK. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments below.
