Bloodborne

From Software’s PS4-exclusive action RPG Bloodborne, created in the same vein as the Dark Souls series, has sold through 1 million units worldwide across both physical and digital retail.

SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida was pleased with the game’s success, stating that, “Bloodborne was a new challenge for us, and our goal was to create a title that took full advantage of the power of PS4.

“I am thrilled that so many users have been enjoying the extremely rich and detailed world, beautiful melancholic atmosphere and palpable tension of Bloodborne. SCE WWS will continue to bring exciting software titles that offer entertainment experiences only possible on PS4.”

Bloodborne released on March 24th in North America and has already sold an impressive number of units in less than a month. Despite some lingering bugs and long loading times, both critics and gamers have praised the gameplay and overall mechanics. What are your thoughts on Bloodborne’s success? Let us know below.
