Bloodstained Ritual of the Night

Legendary producer Koji Igarashi, of Castlevania fame, took the stage during Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference to announce that the Windows 10 and Xbox One versions of Bloodstained: Ritual of the night, his newest game, which created waves and records on Kickstarter a couple of months ago, will feature cross play ability with each other.

Igarashi also announced a new character for the game at the Gamescom presser today, though there was no footage, new or otherwise, of the title. Of course, given this is Igarashi, I don’t think we have much to be worried about- his games, from Symphony of the Night on the PlayStation, to his Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS Castlevania games, have largely been top notch, and he has the formula in question down to an art.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, and Windows 10 PCs some time next year. Stay tuned for more coverage.
