At one point, Tiny Tina was supposed to have a quest where you would tell her about Roland’s death. She would become serious, thank you for the news and recede to her workshop where she could be heard crying. Oh, and of course you would get a weapon for completing the quest. However, this was ultimately removed from the final game with no reason provided. Then again, Tina coming to terms with Roland’s death would become the centre-piece for a whole other storyline in the DLC Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep so that might be why.
