A Simple Reference to Mordor
If you think True Vault Hunter Mode is all about tougher enemies, then you have another thing coming. Following the “Where Angels Fear to Tread” chapter, you can pick up an item at Claptrap’s Place which sees you walking all the way to Mount Hellsfront with a certain item (no fast-travelling or Catch-A-Ride allowed). Upon reaching, you’ll find an enemy called Geary who will take the item and fall into the lava, following which three Rakks will reward you with loot. If this sounds familiar, it’s because the entire quest is a reference to the journey to Mount Doom in The Lord of the Rings.
