So you haven’t been tortured enough by the Bane in Borderlands 2 and want another talking weapon. Good news – the free DLC, Commander Lilith and The Fight for Sanctuary adds another talking gun called the Overcompensator. Unlike other weapons, the Overcompensator is focused more on being positive and reinforcing your life choices. How nice. So how do you get it?

First, you need to complete the final mission in the DLC. This will unlock a bunch of other quests with Vaughn. After completing these, you’ll receive the quest “Chief Executive Overlord.” Complete all the necessary objectives, you’ll receive the Overcompensator as a reward.

It’s a shotgun with a unique voice module which offers choice quotes like “You crushed that one, brah!” on kills and “Yeah, more bullets!” when reloading. It also provides reduced pellet count for higher accuracy, fire rate and magazine size. The weapon also has a chance to refill a random number of bullets when fired. It has a fixed accessory and consumes 1 ammo per shot.
