We’re hot off Borderlands 3 being revealed (which you can read about here along with its many versions) but for those that can’t wait for that September release of the hotly-anticipated sequel, or if you’re just curious what all the fuss is about (outside the Epic Game Stores timed exclusivity that’s caused a lot of discussion and other less fortunate things), you can play the previous numbered game in the series, Borderlands 2, on Steam for free this weekend running up until Sunday, April 7th.
If you like what you play of the pioneering loot shooter and want to keep going past the weekend, Gearbox is offering a 75% discount to buy the base game or 78% for the GOTY Edition (this edition does not include all the DLC), or you can purchase The Handsome Collection, which includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (a game set between 2 and 3) and all of their DLC for 93% off.
Discounts on the games run until April 10th. Meanwhile, Borderlands 3 releases September 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
