Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut is Not Coming to the Switch After All

It seems the recent PEGI rating was little more than an error.

Borderlands 3 Director's Cut

Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut is out now, bringing with it new content, story quests, a new raid boss, a Vault Card, and much more, but it’s not out on everything. Whether or not Gearbox’s looter shooter will land on the Switch is a question that has been asked often (especially since all of its predecessors have been made available on the platform), and a recent PEGI rating of the Director’s Cut for the Switch suggested that that would indeed be happening soon.

It seems, however, that that was little more than an error on PEGI’s part. GameSpot’s Gabe Gurwin recently took to Twitter and stated that according to a conversation with a 2K Games representative, Borderlands 3 is not coming to the Switch after all. Indeed, the game’s PEGI rating has also been updated, and any mention of a Switch release has been removed, suggesting that it may indeed have been a mistake.

Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut is available on pretty much every other active platform out there though, so at least you have options if you want to play it. You can get it on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
