The Epic Games Store has had its fair share of detractors in the time that it’s been around, but there can be no denying that it offers incredible value with its weekly free games. In 2021, for instance, the digital storefront gave away a total of 89 free games to users, and quite a few of them were excellent titles.

That trend is very much still going this year, and this week’s free game for the Epic Games Store has also been revealed– and it’s another good one. Gearbox and 2K Games’ looter shooter Borderlands 3 is free for all Epic Games Store users, and will be up until May 26. It replaces Prey, Jotun: Valhalla Edition, and Redout: Enhanced Edition, which were last week’s free titles.

As for what’s in store for next week, that remains to be seen. The store currently has it listed as a mystery title, as it does with upcoming free titles, though it will become available a week from now, so we don’t have to wait too long to find out. Until then, if you have an Epic Games Store account, make sure to claim Borderlands 3 for free.
