Borderlands 3 - Guns, Love and Tentacles

The latest seasonal event for Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3, namely Revenge of the Cartels, is now live. Miami Vice-like stylings aside, the event sees players taking down different bandit gangs and unlocking new loot and cosmetics. Check out the trailer below to see what you can earn from the event – it’s available until June 4th.

Even more interesting, however, is Mayhem 2.0. The revamped end-game difficulty-scaling system now has 10 levels with 25 new modifiers introduced. As you start out, you’ll have mostly Easy and Medium difficulty modifiers, some which increase weapon damage at the cost of recoil while others while others infuse enemies with Corrosive element. You can see some of these modifiers in the video below.

At higher levels, there will be a mix of Easy, Medium and Hard modifiers coupled with increased enemy health, armor and XP gained. However, you’ll also gain some new Legendaries like the Sand Hawk, an automatic sniper which fires bullets in a hawk pattern. Stay tuned for more details on how Mayhem 2.0 shapes up in the coming weeks.
