To kick off the Borderlands Fan Fest, Gearbox Entertainment dropped a new trailer for Borderlands 4. It’s story-focused, highlighting the Timekeeper’s cruelty and how the Vault Hunters join the Crimson Resistance to free Kairos. Check it out below.
Long story short, the sudden appearance of Elpis (after the events of Borderlands 3) and the Rippers, led by Queen Callis, allows the heroes to escape. They eventually meet the leader of the resistance – Claptrap. Other familiar characters like Moxie and Zane return, but we also get a look at the likes of Rush and Defiant Calder.
Of course, there’s also plenty of gameplay and bosses to behold – including a massive moving drill and a mechanical-tailed beast – alongside some quick peeks at new vehicles. It even teases Amon the Forgeknight’s skill, which seemingly involves connecting his handaxes and throwing them like a boomerang.
Borderlands 4 launches on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC at $69.99, with the Switch 2 version out later. Check out our feature for more details.
