Borderlands 4 (4)

After weeks of Vex and Rafa, it’s now Amon’s time to shine. Gearbox’s latest Borderlands 4 trailer focuses on the Forgeknight and his Action Skills, which comprise a hefty helping of tanking, damage and melee strikes. Check them out below.

Amon’s Action Skills and trees are Crucible, Onslaught and Scourge. Crucible whips out two Forgeaxes, one dealing Incendiary damage and the other Cryo damage. Onslaught provides the Forgefist, which provides increased movement speed and increased shield regeneration speed while effectively serving as a rocket punch of sorts.

Scourge is a Forgeshield that blocks damage from the front and accumulates Vengeance, granting damage resistance when the meter is full. Activating the skill again will unleash a wave of Cryo damage, with the damage increasing based on Vengeance. Overall, it’s hard not to see some resemblance to God of War’s Kratos and his arsenal.

Borderlands 4 launches on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with the Switch 2 version coming on October 3rd.
