Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel “Making of” Conclusion Talks Laser Weapons, Future of Franchise

Lasers do indeed make everything better.

2K Australia’s Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be out next week, thus ending the monopoly over the FPS/RPG loot genre that Destiny has held sway over for the past few weeks. In the lead-up to its release, Gearbox and 2K Australia released the conclusion to its “Making Of” series for the game.

Of special note are the laser weapons in the game and how the different gun manufacturers will influence them. For example, a Tediore laser weapon will fire a split-path laser while some a Maliwan laser weapon will deliver a Ghostbusters-beam style elemental effect. The development team also briefly touches on the future of the franchise, including supporting the game with more content-based DLC like Borderlands 2’s Tiny Tina and The Assault on Dragon Keep.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is out on October 14th for North America and October 17th in Europe for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know below.
