Double Fine Productions’ crowd-funded adventure title Broken Age will see its second act releasing in the coming months and according to a recent update from Tim Schafer, it could be sooner than we thought. Schafer revealed that programming for gameplay, dialogue writing and recording were finally complete and the studio is currently testing the game. Versions of Broken Age: Act 2 are already running on the PS4 and Vita, and the final box art for the physical retail version is already in printing.

Broken Age was funded through Kickstarter in 2012 and turned into a major success with more than $3.45 million in funding. Through the development cycle, Double Fine Productions broke the game into two acts keeping in mind the scale that it had achieved. No additional funding was demanded from backers but the situation had its fair share of backlash.
