Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Receives New Capture The Flag Footage

1080p jetpacks and care packages. What more could you ask for?

The latest entry into the hugely popular Call of Duty franchise has received some 1080p capture the flag gameplay and it’s exactly what you would expect it to be. Run and gun goodness with jump packs and holo flags. The stage being demoed in this footage is called, “Ascend” and aptly has quite a lot of verticality, so watch those high corners.

While the footage doesn’t exactly leave any lasting impression, it certainly showcases what the new game is going for with new gameplay mechanics and that bouncy little jetpack that has everyone so excited. You also get to see some of the new gadgets in effect.

One thing that you might take away from this footage though, is that the stage seems rather empty. Capture the flag is typically a fast paced and especially frantic game mode, but this footage makes the game appear largely uninhabited.

Niggles aside, the game certainly looks like what you’ve come to expect from Call of Duty. Action, gunplay, knifing ,care packages and killstreaks.
