Treyarch's next Call of Duty iteration will be revealed on April 26th.

Treyarch’s next Call of Duty title has been confirmed and it’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Don’t believe us? Check out the teaser trailer above, subtly named “#backinblack” and featuring numerous references to previous entries in the series. It ends with the Roman numeral “III” followed by a full reveal on April 26th 2015.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be Treyarch’s first title to benefit from the new three year development cycle, a trend which began when Sledgehammer Games joined Infinity Ward and Treyarch in the yearly rotation cycle. Whether Black Ops 3 will be releasing on current gen consoles alone or Activision will hire a separate studio to handle previous gen ports remains to be seen.

Nonetheless, it appears as though everything we’ve known till now about the story has been wrong. Exciting, isn’t it?
