Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 “Ember” Teases Glimpses of the Future

Advanced prosthetic limbs, neural implants and controversy form the basis of future wars.

Treyarch has released a new teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and to say this one is heavy-handed is an understatement. Whereas the initial reveal teaser hinted at the events for David Mason continuing, “Ember” talks about the advancements of human technology and the ethics that arise when said technology is used by the military. Check it out above.

The teaser does feed into rumours that Exo Suits, introduced in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, could be making a return. However, the technology hinted at in the Black Ops 3 teaser seems to focus more on hyper-advanced prosthetic limbs, neural interfacing and enhanced sensory perception. The movement and abilities introduced in Advanced Warfare may return but they also be significantly expanded upon in Black Ops 3.

We’ll find out more this Sunday as Treyarch reveals Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to the world. Mark April 26th on your calendars and stay tuned for more updates.
