Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 First Multiplayer Gameplay Revealed

Specialists collide with boots-on-the-ground gameplay.

Treyarch’s reveal event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is currently on-going and it showcased the first gameplay footage for multiplayer. Check it out below and yes, it is meant to be a cross between the boots-on-the-ground movement of Black Ops 2 with the Specialists of Black Ops 3.

Specialists like Ruin and Seraph return with their unique Ultimates and tools. Each Specialist has a different role to play this time around and it’s possible to erect barriers, use area-of-denial tactics and much more. Movement this time is unique because even without wall-running and boost jumping, players will move around without their guns dropping. That’s right – you can now shoot and move by default.

At one point, the player was shown shooting and throwing a grenade at the same time. It’s intriguing to be sure, even if the multiplayer recycles a few Specialists from Black Ops 3 (several new Specialists make their debut however).

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out on October 12th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
