With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releasing in just a few days, Treyarch is going into overdrive with its promotion. Along with a new trailer featuring studio design director David Vonderhaar discussing advanced strategies to use in Blackout, we get a tweet from the studio teasing the newest iteration of Nuketown. Check it out below.
Nuketown will be out after launch as a free map and seems to be set in Russia this time around. We’ll have to wait and see for ourselves, but in the meantime, it’s interesting to see the strategies that Vonderhaar discusses for the new Battle Royale mode.
For instance, players can use the cargo truck to capture supply drops, and then drive away to deal with them later, rather than risk being attacked. The developer didn’t even design the vehicle for this, but providing the tools and the playground made it possible.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be out on October 12th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It requires a 50 GB day one patch, but Blackout can be accessed before the full game installs/downloads.
