Activision and Treyarch have debuted the first gameplay for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode, focusing on the first map, Terminus. As a continuation of the Dark Aether storyline, the core cast must escape from a prison teeming with zombies (and where undead experiments are ongoing). Check it out below.
Alongside new weapons, some power-ups allow for transforming into a heavy unit and charging through the undead. Omnidirectional movement is also noteworthy, with characters diving and capable of turning 180 degrees on the ground to shoot zombies behind them.
While the typical threats abound, some new terrors emerge, from a spider-like creature to a mass of undead clumped into one enemy. There’s even something in the water with monstrous tentacles. Of course, this is only one part of the Zombies experience at launch – another map, Liberty Falls, will also be available, with a reveal on August 28th at Call of Duty Next.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.
