Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War kicked off Gamescom Opening Night Live with a brand new trailer. Taking place early in the game, it offers a look at the threat that Hudson, Woods and Mason will face, namely Perseus. Check it out below.

The trailer establishes fairly quickly that despite Perseus being a mysterious entity, a borderline myth, every appearance of theirs has shifted the balance of the Cold War. The Black Ops team is busy trying to requisition some supplies to hunt down Perseus and are eventually okayed by the President. Plausible deniability and other such jargon is thrown around.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out on November 13th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with Xbox Series X and PS5 out later. There won’t be any free next-gen upgrades though there is a Cross Gen Bundle available for $70. The next-gen versions will also cost $70 though. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months including the reveal of multiplayer on September 9th.
