If the reveal of Extinction Mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts didn’t take you by surprise and make you wonder, deep down, “why?”, then rest assured that Infinity Ward isn’t resting on its laurels and doing everything possible to make it a compelling mode. You’ll work with four other team-mates, each class with its own skills, and you can select your load-out, right down to your super weapon. The objective is to plant a drill on each “nest” and then defend the drill against the onslaught of aliens to follow. You’ll need to use a mix of cunning and ingenuity – along with lots of bullets – to successfully survive against the horde. Luckily, you can rely on objects found in the environment and defenses such as electrified fences to help you.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th for Xbox 360, Wii U, PC and PS3 with PS4 and Xbox One versions due later in the month.
