Speaking to Joystiq, Call of Duty: Ghosts executive producer Mark Rubin stated that, “We want to be as understanding to the fans that they’re the ones who have to struggle and go through the [next-gen] transition. As developers we have to make that as easy for them as possible.”

Rubin points to the cross-generational profile support allows players to go from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and back without any issues. He also talked about making the new engine available “across all platforms. It isn’t just next-gen, it’s for current-gen as well” although the polygon counts for next gen console versions are “way higher.”

Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature other new features such as character customization in multiplayer that allows you to select female soldiers, new multiplayer modes and weapons, new kill-streaks and much more. It will release on November 5th worldwide for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC with PS4 and Xbox One releases due soon.
