Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has a new campaign following up on last year’s title and multiplayer that involves revamped maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). However, Zombies is the main appeal for many, and this year offers a brand new experience. Check out the intro cinematic below.

A new hostile force obtains what seems to be Dark Aether, and upon a confrontation with the police, they unleash it, creating a new wave of zombies. Who else should get involved but Task Force 141 Captain John “Soap” MacTavish and CIA agent Kate Laswell with some new Operators? Together, they must infiltrate the location and stop anything from getting out.

This year’s Zombies experience is significantly different, going open world and adding extraction mechanics. Though we’re yet to see any gameplay, development is led by Treyarch and supported by Sledgehammer Games, with players confronting the series’ largest enemies together with other teams.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Its multiplayer beta arrives on PlayStation first, with Xbox and PC players gaining access one week later.
