Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is an Open-World, PvE Extraction Mode

While Activision had plenty of details to share on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s campaign and PvP, Zombies is perhaps the most enticing aspect. It features an open-world PvE environment with extraction and survival mechanics. Players will fight alongside other squads and battle hordes of enemies in the “largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever.”

The story surrounds Dark Aether but in the Modern Warfare universe with missions, secrets and “core” Zombies features. There are also new mechanics and some of the biggest enemies to fight in the series yet. Further details and gameplay have yet to be revealed, but Treyarch is leading development while working alongside Sledgehammer Games.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Purchasing the Vault Edition grants one-week early access to the campaign, which sees Task Force 141 battling Vladmir Makarov. Meanwhile, multiplayer launches with modernized versions of Modern Warfare 2 (2009)’s maps and the return of the classic Minimap and map voting.
