We’re all eagerly awaiting the full multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. We’ve gotten a small sampling of it, but everyone is biting their lower lip as the main course is being prepared for the beginning of next month. But, in the meantime, there is a single player campaign remember. It’s one that’s promising to be a reboot of the Modern Warfare branch of the shooter franchise, with a darker story and the return of Captain Price. And, we found out today, a mystery face from the past.
McFarlene toys is doing the line of action figures for the game, and on the Amazon page there’s a mysterious blackout figure in the line. This made some eyebrows raise, leaving many to wonder if that meant someone we’re all familiar with from the previous games will also be showing up. When Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki was asked if this was the case, he replied with a simple and casual, “Yep.”
There’s a variety of characters that we could see from the original trilogy, so it’s anyone’s guess. It’ll give us something to speculate on until the full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal on August 1st.
