Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Video Briefly Showcases Weapon Customization

Various barrels, sights, and other attachments can be used to modify a weapon.

Next week will mark the debut of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer with the 2v2 mode Gun Fight only recently being showcased. To further build up anticipation, Infinity Ward has revealed the game’s Gunsmith in a brief new video on Twitter. The tweet in question showcases the many different parts that an Assault Rifle could.

Overall, there will be five different aspects of a weapon that can be customized at any given time. The Assault Rifle has nine areas to choose from so you’ll need to pick and choose what to focus on. The video showcases some of the possibilities include an underbarrel grenade launcher and shotgun.

You can expect different barrels, sights and grips to affect range, accuracy and stability accordingly. It will be interesting to see how this affects multiplayer balance since some custom weapons could be potentially stronger than others. We’ll find out when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
