There are some things in life that are simply inevitable and unavoidable. The sun and moon will set, the tides will always come in, and Call of Duty will release on an annual schedule and absolutely wreck the sales charts. The newest game is no exception to this seemingly unbreakable cycle, and one new addition is Gunfight, a popular 2 on 2 multiplayer mode that many have really warmed up to. Because of that, it’s getting extended soon.

Based on comments from Co-design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot there will be a 3v3 Gunfight at some point, adding an extra man to the tight mode. But if you want to go mano a mano with someone, there is also apparently a 1v1 mode coming, too. He gives no time frame for when that will be, but we’ll keep you updated when news comes out.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now, and for those digging into the multiplayer, the first season of the game’s new content structure begins on December 3rd.
