Gamescom Opening Night Live has already got some pretty big games and announcements lined up, from Gears 5 and Death Stranding to Need for Speed Heat and a new AAA announcement from Sega. Another game that’ll be joining that lineup is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Geoff Keighley, who’ll be hosting the show on August 19th, recently took to Twitter to confirm that Infinity Ward will be bringing the upcoming first person shooter to the event, where they will be debuting new footage, and also making “a special announcement”. The footage, hopefully, will be from the single player campaign, which Infinity Ward promised not too long ago we’ll be seeing more of. As for the special announcement, that’s anyone’s best guess. The developers have said that there are many multiplayer modes in the game that are yet to be announced, so maybe we could be seeing one of those. Perhaps battle royale will finally be revealed?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is due out on October 25th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We were recently treated to 25 minutes of multiplayer gameplay footage- take a look through here.
