Here's hoping it's a meaty new gameplay trailer.

Death Stranding has been shrouded in mystery since the day we first found out about its existence, and two and a half years (and multiple trailers) later, it’s still pretty shrouded in mystery. Some of that fog will be lifted soon, though, thanks to the upcoming European gaming trade fair, Gamescom.

Geoff Keighley, who’ll be hosting the opening event for Gamescom, Opening Night Live, has confirmed that among the may new premieres and announcements will be made during the show, Hideo Kojima will be in attendance to “premiere an exclusive new look at Death Stranding.” It’s happening on August 19th, and like the rest of Opening Night Live, will be livestreamed around the world.

There is, of course, no word on what this premiere will entail, but one has to assume that with the game’s release coming up in roughly three months, it has to be a new trailer (at the very least). A meaty gameplay reveal is what I’m hoping for, so, you know, fingers crossed.

Quite recently, Kojima spoke about the game still being in “crunch time of development” and about adjustments still being made to it, so it should be interesting to see what exactly will be shown. Death Stranding is out on November 8 for the PS4. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for all the newest updates.
