Starting with the tag-line “Actual In-Game Footage”, Activision finally showcased Call of Duty: WWII. Check out the gameplay trailer below.

Call of Duty: WWII follows the story of the 1st Infantry Division as they battle in World War 2. With more than two years of development, Sledgehammer Games’ latest FPS will take players through “iconic locations in the European Theater.”

The emphasis right now is on authenticity, realism, a darker tone and the bonds between the characters. There’s plenty of violence and bloodshed as well, which is appropriate given how World War 2 was far from a cakewalk.

Releasing on November 3rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Call of Duty: WWII is currently available to pre-order on-disc and via digital download. What are your thoughts on the gameplay especially since this is the first time in almost 9 years that Call of Duty returns to World War 2? Let us know in the comments.
