Capcom Reiterates It Has No Plans To Localize Monster Hunter XX On Switch- For Now

FOR NOW.

Posted By | On 15th, Jun. 2017

Monster Hunter World looks legitimately exciting, and like a cool step forward for the series- but it is very experimental, and for many who crave their regular Monster Hunter fix, it may not be enough. The cool thing so far has been Monster Hunter XX, which is coming to the Switch, which assures that all Monster Hunter fans will be placated and served.

Except Capcom is still not willing to commit to a western localization of the game. While they were apparently misquoted in an earlier report by GameSpot that stated they had outright shot any possibility of a localization down, they are still maintaining on Twitter that there are no plans for a localization of XX in the west for now.

That ‘for now’ is important, I guess. It leaves them enough wiggle room should they want to bring it over ultimately after all. That said, World looks cool, so fan who have always wanted to jump into the series but found it too daunting will hopefully give this one a look.
