Originally released as Monster Hunter XX for the 3DS in Japan as an expanded version of Monster Hunter Generations, an HD version was later released for the Nintendo Switch in Japan in August 2017, with a worldwide release of August 2018.
Major new additions in the game include new special attacks, new combat styles, and the ability to play as Felynes.
But there are currently no plans to port Monster Hunter World to the Switch.
