Monster Hunter XX on Switch Gameplay, Improved Visuals Showcased in New Trailer

There's plenty of distinguishing features from the 3DS version.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter XX is out for the Nintendo Switch later this month in Japan and the company is prepping a demo for the Eshop on August 10th. In the meantime, you can check out how the visuals have improved from the 3DS version in a new trailer.

The trailer also highlights some of the new features including support for vibration. Monsters roaring, techniques landing and so on can lead to vibrations though this can be toggled off if you so desire. Being able to zoom in and out of the map with a single button press is also neat.

Other interesting additions include the R button being used to bring up the hunting whistle’s menu and full screen keyboards. If you play in portable or tabletop mode with the Switch, it’s possible to use the touch-screen for typing messages.

Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. is out for the console on August 25th. To find out how to play the Eshop demo, head here.
