With Capcom’s Monster Hunter XX heading to the Nintendo Switch by August end, a new demo is now available on the Japanese Eshop to offer a taste of the gameplay. Though it’s in Japanese, the region-free nature of the Switch allows players from outside Japan to download it as well.
Monster Hunter XX expands on Monster Hunter X aka Monster Hunter Generations on the Nintendo 3DS with new quests, weapons, monsters and much more. The Nintendo Switch version offers high resolution graphics and cross-platform play online with 3DS players. Unfortunately, Capcom currently doesn’t have any plans to release Monster Hunter XX for the Switch or 3DS outside of Japan.
However, Xbox One, PS4 and PC players will be able to check out Monster Hunter World in 2018 which features a larger world and more streamlined mechanics. It will come to PS4 and Xbox One first and PC later.
