Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2: Gabriel Will Have His Vengeance

The original Castlevania Lords of Shadow was released back in 2010 and since then it is in my top 5 list of the best games released this generation. It was an extremely underrated game but fortunately we gave it a superb 9.5/10, an Editor’s Choice award. You can read the full review here. Understanding the value of this franchise and responding the calls of the fans, Konami will be releasing a fully fledged sequel next year.

Today, at VGA 2012 Konami released a short trailer which showed Gabriel talking about how he plans to take his vengeance. He has awakened after centuries and as a result finds himself weak. He then talks about how strong and powerful he was and remains hopeful that he will regain all of those powers and will have his vengeance.

Check out the trailer below.

One interesting thing I found in the trailer was the game switching between old and modern times. I also believe that certain sections of the trailer are actual in game footage and if my assumption is true, we are in for a real treat in 2013. It is only obvious by this time that you will get to play as Dracul as well his former self: Gabriel. I am not sure about you guys, but this game is definitely in my list of most anticipated games of 2013.

The game is being developed by MercurySteam for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game still does not have solid release date.
