CCP who makes online games are already working on next-gen tech and the project they claim will be at full capacity soon. We don’t know whether they have the prototype next-gen consoles with them or the latest PC hardware but they have started building tech to support them.

CCP Newcastle is working on it, according to Thor Gunnarsson, vice-president of business development for CCP.

“But, yes, we’re currently building tech for the next generation of consoles, as well as future PC tech too,” he said to Develop.

“Newcastle really is an engineering office for us, that’s the kind of people we’re looking for.

“They’re working on internal tech, and with various middleware, and game engines too,” he added.

Their current game in development is Dust 514 and will be released on PS3 and PC. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
