The Witcher 3

The magnum opus of CD Projekt Red celebrated a huge enhancement when the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro finally received the enhancements to bring that gorgeous world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to life on a big 4K set with HDR, but it seems like the PS4 Pro made a few sacrifices too many in trying to hit that magic number, sacrifices which the developers are working to make less apparent.

Upon the release of the 1.61 patch, outlets such as Digital Foundry found that the PS4 Pro held very close to the Xbox One X when it came to display support, but Sony’s offering was crippled by significantly shortened draw distance, causing foliage and shadows to noticeably pop in and out.

When asked about a patch on Twitter to address the downgraded level of draw distance, Community Lead for CD Projekt Red Marcin Momot confirmed that the team was working on a solution with a simple “yes”. Whenever there’s more information on when to expect this patch, count on Gamingbolt to report it.
