The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Emperor Emhyr var Emreis

CD Projekt Red have released a new video highlighting the quality of content that you can expect to find in their upcoming video game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While voice actors are readily available and often actively seeking work, CD Projekt Red didn’t want your everyday, run of the mill actor to play Emhyr var Emreis, also known as the ruthless Emperor of Nilfgaard.

So who did they get to play the Emperor? Well Charles Dance of course, or as many of you will know him, Tywin Lannister of Casterly Rock from Game of Thrones. Mr Dance is a great choice when it comes to giving voice to Emhyr var Emreis because, like Twyin Lannister, he is a “very very powerful man, probably the most powerful man.”

This is the popular actor’s first time providing the voice for a character in a video game and he has said that it’s a “whole new world” for him and that it’s all quite exciting. He goes on to add that The Witcher 3 “employs the most wonderful cinematic techniques.” That’s high praise coming from the actor.
