Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announced Cities: Skylines 2, a sequel to the acclaimed city builder. It’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC and launching on day one for Game Pass. Though several details are yet to be revealed, some bits are available courtesy of the Xbox version’s Achievements.
As revealed by True Achievements, there are 40 in total for 1000 Gamerscore. They also confirm the presence of 150 map tiles, a big step up from the original game’s 81 tiles. You’ll also have to contend with new disasters like hailstorms, rat infestations, etc. The usual Achievements, which challenge you to have a population of 100,000 and follow a citizen’s life from childhood to old age, are also available.
Cities: Skylines 2 doesn’t have a release date, but it’s planned for release this year. Along with improved visuals, it promises a “dynamic and ever-changing world,” with players building everything from businesses and downtown areas to neighborhoods and tourist attractions.
