While many are wrapped up in Oblivion fever after the remaster dropped, Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out the launch trailer below, though be warned of potential story spoilers.
Developed by a team of 30, the role-playing game takes place in a world torn apart by the Fracture. What seem to be the remnants of humanity reside on Lumiere, but they’re slowly dying out thanks to the actions of the mysterious Paintress. As part of the latest expedition, players embark on a mission to destroy her and ensure humanity’s survival.
Though starting with Gustave, you’ll recruit Lune, Maelle, Sciel, and even a Gestral named Monoco to your cause. There’s also the mysterious Verso and Renoir, the latter seeking the group’s annihilation (and played by actor Andy Serkis).
