Code Vein 2

Time traveling is always a messy thing, especially when it comes to altering the past to save the future. Such is the case in Bandai Namco Studios’ Code Vein 2, where players control a Revenant Hunter revived by the mysterious Lou MagMell and sent back in time to prevent the Resurgence from destroying the world.

Of course, things aren’t quite so simple. Your trip to the past involves meeting legendary heroes, like Josee Anjou and Holly Asturia, but there’s a figure above Lou who advises against meddling with events. What is the truth behind the Resurgence, and what does Lou have to do with MagMell Island?

We’ll have to wait until January 30th, 2026, when Code Vein 2 launches on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. For those indifferent to the story, the combat is looking solid with plenty of intriguing bosses to tackle. Alongside the extensive character customization of the original, it includes the same blood-sucking mechanic, used to unleash unique abilities.
