If you’ve been itching for some old-school strategy goodness, then take heart – Kalypso Media’s HD remasters of Commandos 2 and Praetorians are coming soon. Both games will launch on January 24th 2020 for PC with console versions coming later. Check out the trailers for both below to see their remastered visuals.
Commandos 2 is more focused on leading a squad of nine commandos, using their abilities to conquer campaign missions set in World War 2. Praetorians has a larger scale – you can choose from three different armies, each with their own unit types and characters. The objective is to eventually win out using a mix of strategy and cunning.
Both games will feature a revamped UI and controls along with HD visuals, making it easier for new players to hop in. If you pre-order on the Kalypso Store, then you get access to the closed beta on December 13th which includes campaign and skirmish maps. Multiplayer will also be available in the Praetorians beta.
