Funcom’s Conan Exiles has had a rather rough history on the PC since launching in Steam Early Access. However, there’s plenty of opportunity to succeed on home consoles like Xbox One and PS4 when it releases worldwide in May. How will the game’s performance fare though, especially on platforms like the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro?

GamingBolt spoke to Funcom communications manager Tor Egil Andersen to find out the resolution and frame rate of the game on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. Would there also be separate modes for 4K and 1080p TV owners? Unfortunately, as Andersen notes, “We are still working on this so I can’t give you final details yet.”

He did state that currently, “The Xbox One X version in Game Preview can run in 1440p resolution with 4k for the GUI.”

As for the base Xbox One and PS4 versions, they’ll be running in 30 FPS. The main difference will be the resolution. “The resolution is 900p for Xbox One and 1080p for PS4,” said Andersen.

If you haven’t played it yet, Conan Exiles is an online survival title set in the Conan the Barbarian universe. Along with fighting for survival, players can build settlements, explore various ruins to uncover more about the world’s history, capture and enslave various criminals to build an army and so on. What are your thoughts on the upcoming console releases? Let us know below.
