Crackdown 3 marks the triumphant return of the cult hit open world action adventure series on Xbox One, which has been missing in action since the disappointing Crackdown 2 released in 2010. The game, which is slated to launch some time next year, is going to be one of the biggest releases for the Xbox One in a year full of big releases- so it wouldn’t surprise anyone, I hope, to learn that Microsoft will be throwing its full marketing muscle behind the game as we near its launch.
Which is why this tease for a new, Crackdown themed limited edition Xbox One controller makes so much sense. These special edition controllers, which will be highly customizable and never actually go on sale, were announced at Gamescom. Today, we got to have our first glimpse at them, thanks to a tease for their design , which you can see above.
When will we know the final design for this controller? We don’t know. We don’t know when it will be available either, nor do we know when Crackdown 3 itself will be out. But hey, we’ll keep you posted, so stay tuned.
